Birdwatching Tour Operator Mindo Paradise CIA. LTDA. is an Ecuadorian company, established in July 2008 in the village of Mindo, in the Ecuadorian province of Pichincha.
Our team is formed by local professionals, who have always been interested in nature and conservation. For that reason, our tour operator has been promoting birdwatching tourism in Mindo and its surroundings from the beginning, both in the national and international market.

Nowadays we have a Touristic Information Office, located a few blocks from the Main Square, where you can find bilingual tourist guides experts on birds, nature and adventure, as well as souvenirs from this destination, books about birds and postcards. Feel free to choose or design your tours with us, according to your wishes and needs. We will take care of coordinating the activities, including transportation from and to your accommodation, as well as all the required equipment.
Among our extensive offer, we have hikes through the forest in daytime and at night, birdwatching tours, tubbing, canyoning or rapell, canopy or ziplines, bicycle rental, nightly bicycle rides, horseback riding, visit to butterflies or orchids gardens, and chocolate or coffee tours.
Who Are We
Sandra Patiño
Sandra is a National Tour Guide specialized in birding tours, whose experience in ecotourism and birds began in the year 2000. She was born in Ecuador and studied in Mindo, where she has spent most of her life. She developed her passion for birds at a young age, engaging in environmental groups such as Pacazo & Pacazo, Friends of Nature of Mindo and Association of Naturalist Guides of Mindo, among others. Furthermore, Sandra has participated in the Christmas Bird Count for 18 consecutive years and was a member of the entrepreneurship club that wrote the book “Aves de Mindo” (Birds of Mindo).
Currently, she’s the owner of Birdwatching Tour Operator Mindo Paradise – a travel agency where you can find the most complete map of Mindo and recommendations of the best birding tour guides. Sandra feels a special fascination for birds, which is why she spends most of her time guiding birdwatching tours, and in her free time she enjoys being with her sons that mean the world to her: Bryan and Ryan.
Bryan Sea
Bryan is a National Tour Guide and was born in Mindo, where he has lived his whole live. He's a young entrepreneur that has always admired the work of his mother Sandra, which is why he participated in courses of birding and ecotourism since he was little. He has more than six years of experience as an ecotourism and adventure guide, he participates annually in the Christmas Bird Count, and he’s part of the leader team of the agency Birdwatching Tour Operator Mindo Paradise.
Bryan often takes local courses and worshops to improve and enrich his knowledge of the environment around him. Moreover, he's a freelance tour guide in places like Mashpi Lodge, La Isla Mindo and Mindo Coffee Shop.
